British Library Edison Research Fellowship

Blanc Wan has been awarded the 2015-2016 Edison Research Fellowship from the British Library. Award annually to musicologists around the world, the Edison Research Fellowships are awarded to distinguished musicologists, and encourage them to devote their research on history of recordings of classical music and music in performance. Edison Fellowship included £5000 in total, and has the privilege to access the BBC recordings and the British Library collections for extended periods of research. In addition, Edison Fellows has a reserved desk space at the British Library – the largest library in the world.

 

The British Library is a major research library in the world, holds around 170 million items from many countries, in many languages, and formats: books, manuscripts, journals, newspapers, magazines, sound and music recordings, videos, databases, maps, stamps, prints, drawings. The British Library has around 14 million books with a substantial holdings of manuscripts and historical items dating back in 2000 BC.
